McAfee Compensate Home/Home Office Consumers Affected by Bad Security Update

On Wednesday 21st April 2010, thousands of Windows XP PCs infected badly with McAfee upgrade. Although after receiving complaints from all over the world McAfee pulled back that buggy software upgrade immediately from their servers and provide a new McAfee upgrade with fixes but that was not a solution for the users with infected systems.
Now McAfee announced reimbursement for the users whose PCs are damaged because of McAfee security upgrade, and according to McAfee official blog:
“For impacted home or home office customers who have incurred costs to repair PCs as a result of the security update issue, McAfee will reimburse reasonable expenses, such as a visit to a local tech support specialist.”

For the loyal home or home office customers whose PCs are damaged after the security upgrade, McAfee announced the free two-years extension to their current McAfee subscription product with no extra charge. Those customers can find out that extension under My Account on McAfee Web site within the next 30 days.
