Opera Mini for iPhone was officially submitted to the Apple iPhone App store today. A select few first saw it at Mobile World Congress 2010 in February. Now, the “fast like a rocket” browser is taking its first big step towards giving users a new way to browse on the iPhone.

Got bored of ‘Google’ text on the Google search engine page? Well, you can change the text in the Google logo with ease. But, you need to have Firefox installed in order to try this little trick. Here’s how you do it:
Start Firefox and install the GreaseMonkey addon.
Once installed, restart the browser and go to Google.com
Install the Google Logo text edit script.

Double click on the Google Logo, a small box should pop up which looks like the one shown above.

Yesterday, at MIX 10 Microsoft has released a line of tools for Windows Phone 7 Series which are available to developers for download.

According to Microsoft, Windows Phone 7 Series mobile phones will hit the markets by the end of this year. We wrote before about Desktop Google Reader application which allows users to access RSS feeds directly from their desktop but that application is available only for Windows users. So, today we bring another handy app Google Reader Notifier QT which is a cross-platform app and works for Windows, Mac and Unix systems.

Google Reader Notifier QT is a portable app which notifies users about the new updates of Reader, and in this way they do not always require to login to Google Reader page to check for new updates.

To use Google Reader Notifier QT, just download your required version according to your system and run it. The following Settings window will display. Here enter your Gmail address and click ok, it will also ask for password so provide password and that’s all.

Google Reader Notifier QT icon will reside in system tray and notifies about the new and unread feeds after a specific interval of time which you may set in above window by navigating to Checking tab.
The only bad thing about this application is that it does not show the system tray icon because of transparency. But if you want to make change in its settings, or to check the new feeds right now etc. then right click on its transparent system tray icon and select the option of your choice.
